ABOUT ME

BACKGROUND

I love the color and power of nature. So the whole website in dark mode is the color of moss. A modest, tranquil, plant. However, living the city has left me with little chance to visit the nature and to admire its power. Through this website, I hope to create a small oasis within the vast desert of the Internet, which has an emphasis on efficiency and structuredness while making me numb. This website is a place where I am able to express myself in the ways that I am comfortable with.

In terms of academics, I would call myself an interdisciplinary researcher. I have interest in both sociology and computer science. I have completed a few projects utilizing methods in both areas. Nevertheless, I try to feature as little academics as possible in this website for the same reason I mentioned in the first paragraph.

INTERESTS & HOBBIES

Film Photography & Darkroom Printing

I started shooting film in 2021 and have been developing my skills in darkroom printing. I am currently building a workflow purely based on analog techniques. Throughout the years have gain the capability to develop my own B&W film and paper.

Cycling

I love to cycle around the suburbs of Shanghai. I usually bring my camera with me to capture the beauty of nature(although not much of that is left in Shanghai˙◠˙). I would love to take my bike to another country and explore the country with it.

Vintage Electronics

Always been faciniated with vintage electronics or any vintage stuff in general. Love to explore their history. I have restored a vintage Sony video camera from the 80s that uses electron tubes as sensors.

Reading & Book Collecting

Recently been facinated by books on Japanese culture and history. I have a small collection of books on photography and paintings.
